With this in mind, Eastern Building Services program eliminates the use of harsh chemicals to eliminate the chances of injury to tenants and janitorial staff. This in turn also lengthens the life span of building fixtures (carpets, restroom porcelain, chrome, etc).

This list includes eliminating: Bleach, Aerosols, Petroleum based metal polishes and mop sprays, powdered cleansers, urinal blocks containing par-dichlorobenzene, uninhibited acid bowl cleaners, ammonia, products with a ph of less than 3 or more than 12, APE's.

All Harsh chemicals have been linked to asthma, reproductive disorders and cancer!

Eastern Building Services provides a combination of top-tier training for employees in proper green cleaning protocol as well as environmentally friendly chemicals that have been Green Seal® & EcoLogo certified. We will provide managed chemical dispensing systems that are compact in design that save space and bring costs under control. , space-saving system to bring costs.

Other product and equipment highlights of the EBS Green™ program include the use of microfiber technology and recycled janitorial paper products. Microfiber has many exciting features and benefits including reducing the need for chemicals, preventing cross contamination and being machine washable for re-use. It is also useful in a variety of cleaning situations making it an especially effective product.

Eastern Building Services also ensures all cleaning equipment (vacuums, mops, carts, etc.) is constantly evaluated to meet environmental preferable standards. When necessary, and applicable, EBS replaces equipment with newer, upgraded and ergonomically friendly versions.
